Sean Hood

Bio

Professor Sean Hood is a Consultant Psychiatrist and Head of the Division of Psychiatry at the University of Western Australia (UWA). He completed his medical degree at UWA and postgraduate training in Psychiatry in Perth and Bristol, UK. His expertise lies in the psychopharmacology of anxiety and mood disorders, and he has held leadership roles in both academic and clinical settings.

Meeting for Minds involvement

Professor Hood chairs a research collaboration with the Meeting for Minds (M4M) Foundation, focusing on brain disorders and mental illness in partnership with individuals with lived experience. He has also participated in M4M's video interview series, discussing the integration of lived experience in mental health research.
